V1:
Everybody wants what they don’t have;
They want more like all the rest.

Chorus:
Jesus says come to me and you shall never hunger. Drink of the water I give you and ye shall never thirst. Having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
V2:
The more you have, the more you’ll want,
You’ll never be satisfied.

As long as they have their fun and sports,
They turn their head elsewhere.
V3:
They say that God wants our happiness,
And to live a good life,
But they leave out the most important part,
That you shall suffer if you live right.
But nobody wants to hear that;
They’d rather enjoy themselves.
They don’t want to pick up their cross,
And have to deny themselves
