The Same God – He makes the blind see, the lame walk, and the deaf hear – 8/19/20

While reading Exodus 4 (specifically verses 10-17), what stood out to me was that Moses was hesitant to do what the Lord was telling him to do because he was not an eloquent speaker, but God tells him that He’s the one who made his mouth, does He not have the power to give him the ability to speak? God knew that He could and would give Moses the words to speak, but because Moses still doubted, He sent Aaron to go with him. The same God can change someone’s heart (for He made the heart) and turn them into a faithful servant, guiding them into truth. The same God can make the blind see (for He made the eyes), the lame walk (for He made the feet), and the deaf hear (for He made the ears.) He can do all, for He made all. He can turn you 180 degrees in the right direction. The same God can give you a sincere heart. The same God turned unlearned men into mighty prophets of God. The same God will help you and be with you, but you must trust him and be willing to obey. 

“Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and [b]slow of tongue.”

So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.”

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God. And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”
