Jesus died for me
On a tree
There were three
On Calvary
But only one
Was God’s son
Only one could overcome
Sin and death; He won.
He washed me clean

Praise the Lord
For his written word
It is our mighty sword
He will reward
The evil for their deeds
Separate the wheat from the weeds
Though the wicked they will plead
His mercy they will need
They had their time

But the sun won’t always shine
Will you be of His vine
In the end
God will send
His one and only son
He dearly loves
Desires life for us
We aren’t here just because
Our life has meaning
For why we are breathing
We were created for a purpose
I am free
Because He died for me
