Living in despair
You feel completely lost
Wandering who knows where
To and fro you’re tossed
You wander what’s the purpose of living
Hoping for something more
You have a void you attempt filling
But nothing will restore
You go on living as before
But still searching for meaning
Life is good, fun at times, sure
But it still feels so empty
One day you meet a man who asks
Was there ever a time there was nothing?
You had been very downcast
But this question sparked something
You never thought about it before
How could something come from nothing
Zero plus zero equals zero
But wait there’s more coming
This something had to have been life
Lifeless forms can’t make one better than itself.
It had to have been eternal life
Jesus speaks of himself.
God loves you and has a purpose for your life
More than just living
He has a great plan for you
A meaningful plan he’s giving
He wants you to turn and run to Him
Can you feel Him pulling you
He’s forever loving you
He wants to make your heart anew
He sent His only Son for you
That in Him you may abide
He is the way, the truth, the life
He wants us in Heaven to reside.
You must obey his commands
He paid it all, so all to Him you owe
Take to heart His reprimands
The meaning behind you’ll one day know
You once were lost deep in your sins
but now in Jesus you are found
You once were so helplessly blind
But now with glory you are crowned
He pours out His grace upon us
We now have an atonement
He died because He so much loves
We were nothing without Jesus sent.
But that doesn’t mean you have an excuse
For what, shall we continue in sin?
God forbid; that’s a lie from Satan
He relentlessly twists God’s gift to men
If we are dead to sin
How can we live any longer therein
May God create in you a clean heart
And give you a fresh new start
Serve the Lord with gladness
Come before His presence with singing
Know that the LORD he is God
Serve Him with your whole being
Suffer long, keep your faith strong
His Holy Spirit He will send
To comfort you and lead you to Him
You must endure until the end
Remember where you once had been
How he saved you from your sin
Much sorrow you have come from
And where your journey first begun
Jesus loves you very much
He wholeheartedly does
He died so that He could have you
He’s not saying this just because.
You are one God truly loves.
